Tips for care and longer lasting bouquets
Read Colors and Flowers care tips on how to keep flowers fresh for longer…
Put flowers in clean water
Once you receive your bouquet, remove the wrapping, cut the tips of the stem and place the
flowers in a clean vase (or our reusable box) with room temperature water.
Use a knife instead of scissors to cut the stems
Using a sharp knife instead of scissors helps not to crash the stems and allow them to absorb
water well.
Change water frequently – every 2-3 days
To live longer flowers need a lot of water. Change water every 2-3 days and keep the vase
full not to let them dry out. Trim stems often.
Use bleach or water treatment
Treat the water with a few drops of bleach to keep your flowers fresh for longer. Another
solution is to add to the water two tablespoons of sugar, apple cider vinegar or lemon juice. You
can also use the flower preservatives sold in stores.
Keep flowers in a cool place away from direct sunlight
The heat and sun will dry out the flowers faster – try to keep them in a cooler place in the
shades.
